Brief History of Dallas Coaches Association

The Dallas Coaches Association was formed in 1954 by high school coaches of the Dallas Independent.
Purpose:
Dallas Coaches Association was organized to help unify coaches, and provide leadership for new and mature coaches. DCA also recognize district winners high school and middle schools, coaches that make a difference, and state championship at The Annual All Sports Awards Banquet. DCA also offer scholarship opportunities to sons and daughters of members.

Organization:
Dallas Coaches Association is operated by elected officers and board of directors. The board consist of Executive Director, President, Ist Vice President, 2nd Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Board of Directors.

DCA sponsor the following fundraising activities for scholarships:
Cross Country Meet
Girls Basketball Classic
Softball Tournament
Golf Tournament
Coaching Clinics
